DECLARATION OF INTENTION

All Members of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Federal Polytechnic Offa Chapter

I, OLADOSU RIDWAN ADENIYI P.K.A (KEWULERE) of Boripe Local Government Iragbiji to be precise, a student of School of Communication and Media Studies from the noble department Strategic Communication and Media Studies, hereby using this medium to declare my intention to contest for the post of President, National Association of Osun State Students, Federal Polytechnic Offa Chapter — 2025/2026 Academic Session.

Dear Esteemed Members,

I write with a deep sense of responsibility, humility, and unwavering commitment to officially declare my intention to contest for the position of President of the National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS), Federal Polytechnic Offa Chapter for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This decision comes after due consultation with respected leaders, mentors, and stakeholders of our association, whose guidance and counsel have further strengthened my resolve to serve. I have listened, learned, and considered the needs of our members, and I am convinced that together, we can make a lasting difference.

Acknowledgement of Past Leaders

First and foremost, I wish to acknowledge and commend our past and current leaders who have worked tirelessly to keep the flag of NAOSS flying high. Their dedication, sacrifices, and visionary contributions have laid the foundation upon which we continue to build today. From the pioneering leaders who shaped our early direction, to the immediate past executives who sustained our progress, and to the present administration steering our association with diligence — I salute your service, commitment, and achievements. Your efforts remain an inspiration and a challenge for us to do even better.

Why I Am Contesting

Over the years, NAOSS has stood as a beacon of unity, culture, and progress for all Osun State indigenes studying in this great institution. We have built a family that transcends classroom walls — a platform for academic excellence, socio-cultural development, and mutual support. It is my belief that leadership is not merely about holding a position, but about service, sacrifice, and the vision to move our association forward.

My aspiration is rooted in a genuine passion to uplift the welfare of our members, to protect our common interests, and to foster a vibrant environment where every Osun State student feels valued and represented.

My Commitments

If entrusted with the mandate to serve, I pledge to:

1. Promote Unity and Inclusiveness: Ensuring that every member, regardless of background, has a voice and feels connected to the association.
2. Advance Academic and Career Opportunities: Organizing capacity-building workshops, mentorship programs, and scholarship drives to support our members academically and professionally.
3. Enhance Student Welfare: Creating initiatives that address financial, social, and emotional needs of members in times of challenge.
4. Ensure Transparent and Accountable Leadership: Managing the association’s affairs with integrity, openness, and fairness.
5. Strengthen External Relations: Building partnerships with alumni, government agencies, and private organizations to create opportunities and resources for our members.
6. Promote Cultural Pride and Identity: Preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of Osun State through impactful events and activities.
7. Reconnect with NAOSS National Body: Establishing strong communication, collaboration, and representation between NAOSS Offa Chapter and the NAOSS National leadership, ensuring our chapter is actively involved and benefits from national programs, projects, and opportunities.

Closing Words

I believe that with unity, purposeful leadership, and active participation from all members, NAOSS Federal Polytechnic Offa Chapter can reach greater heights. I am ready to dedicate my time, energy, and abilities to make this vision a reality.
